NEWPORT NEWS - Judith Godbey Nimmo, 50, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at her home.

Judy, formerly of Salina, Kan., and a Newport News resident for the past 22 years, is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dr. M. Ty Nimmo; three children, Jennifer Berry of Williamsburg, Va., Neil Nimmo of Arlington, Va., and Mark Nimmo of Newport News, Va., attending Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas.; and one grandson, Alexander Berry of Williamsburg. She also is survived by her mother, Dorothy Godbey, now of Newport News; and two brothers, Michael Godbey of Parsons, Kan., and Richard Godbey of Port Angeles, Wash.

Judy graduated from Salina High School and attended Kansas Wesleyan College. At the time of her death, Judy was the office manager of Dr. Marvin Kaplan. She was active in the Warwick Youth Football, was the Warwick Little League Women's Auxiliary president, Menchville Pony League treasurer and Board of Directors, as well as Menchville PTSA treasurer, 1st vice president and Cultural Arts chairperson in 1985.

A memorial service will be held for the family at Denbigh Christian Church by Rev. Charles Gilliam. Burial will take place in Salina, Kan.
