Janetta Jayne (Rowe)

Obituary for Janetta Jean Rowe

Janetta Jean Rowe, 73, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Rolling Hills Care Center in Catoosa, OK. She was born on January 27, 1945 in Wichita, KS to Harold C. and Edna P. Jayne. Janetta and her husband, Norman Wayne Rowe, retired pastor, were married on July 9, 1965, and were happily married for 52 years, when God called her home. Janetta was a devoted member of Southeast Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK, and enjoyed playing piano. She loved teaching children, and was proud to be a dedicated, elementary school teacher in the public-school system. Janetta demonstrated her love for children by starting a neighborhood Kids' Bible Club. She loved the Lord, her family, and helping people. Janetta had a steadfast faith and was an especially loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and faithful friend, always there with a loving heart and guiding hands. She was proud of her family and gave unconditional love and encouragement. She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband; son, Stanley Eugene Rowe and wife Tresa, who are serving as missionaries in Papua, New Guinea; daughters, Renee Parady of Saint Albans, VT, and Jennifer and husband Rob Newcome of Glenville, NY; brothers, Gary Jayne and wife Arlene of Springfield, MO, Harold Lee Jayne and wife Jeanie of Naples, TX, John Jayne and wife Beth of Southfork, CO, Luke Jayne and wife Kathy of Branson, MO, and Tim Jayne and wife Tarryn of Craig, CO; sister, Carolyn Stout and husband Jerry of Salina, KS; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; her church family; and a lifetime of friends. Janetta will be greatly missed in the days ahead because we were privileged to have her in our lives, and we who are saved and know the Lord, have joy in our hearts, resting in the assurance we will be with her again, in Heaven, one day soon. What a day, glorious day that will be!
